Good plumbing is mostly invisible: correct falls on waste pipes, clipped and lagged pipework, isolating valves where you need them and every joint pressure-tested before walls are closed up. That's how we work, so problems don't appear months later behind new tiles.
Questions we're often asked about plumbing and heating.
By law, any work on gas appliances, including boilers, must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your project includes gas work, we'll make sure it's done by a registered engineer and you can ask to see their Gas Safe ID card.
Low pressure can come from a narrow or old supply pipe, a partly closed stopcock, scale build-up, or a gravity-fed system. We can test the incoming pressure and flow rate and recommend options such as a new supply or an unvented cylinder.
An unvented cylinder stores hot water at mains pressure, giving strong showers without a cold water tank in the loft. Installation must be done by a qualified installer and notified under Building Regulations.

Older London properties often have mixed pipework from decades of alterations, and low water pressure is a common complaint, especially on upper floors. In many cases there is a practical fix, and a survey shows which option suits your home.
